The Story

If the Yamaguchi’s Kodemari is the standard we wish to see for present-day American matcha culture, Yame no Hana is our wish for its near future. A stonemilled ceremonial matcha suitable for sipping and contemplating neat, Yame no Hana is a shining example of the blending mastery of Shinya Yamaguchi. Shinya san is the youngest person to ever receive the pinnacle 10-dan certification in tea blending and appraisal in Japan. Plants are shaded for 3-4 weeks, dehydrated and deveined, blended, and then stonemilled into a floral, resplendent matcha.
